By: Heather @ 10:31 am

THANK YOU for making the 2nd annual Westmount Moving Golf Classic a success. With your support, we were able to reach & surpass our fundraising goal in support of the Tour de Force 2012.

On Friday, we raised close to $42,000.00! This donation will be made to support Canada Company’s efforts in providing scholarship funds and children’s camps to families of fallen or deployed Canadian Forces personnel. Please visit www.canadacompany.ca for more details.

Friday’s golf tournament was a fun filled day, visit the westmountmovinggolfclassic.com website to see additional pictures from the tournament.

Profile of Elmira, Ontario

By: Heather @ 11:44 pm

Elmira (population of approximately 10,000) is located north of Kitchener-Waterloo, in the Woolwich Township, and is the largest community within the Township. Early German settlers brought Mennonite traditions to the region. Surrounded by farmland, visitors to the area will see Old Order Mennonites driving horse-drawn buggies down rural roads dotted with roadside stalls, and simple churches.

While there are many peaceful trails and parks in the area, Elmira also has a busy town centre with restaurants and shops. The Maple Syrup Festival attracts approximately 60,000 visitors to this small town in the springtime, and the Elmira Theatre company presents four shows annually. Elmira attracts people to the area looking for small town living close to all the amenities of the city. In particular, Elmira offers amazing recreation, with great hiking, cycling and running trails. It is also home to the Elmira Sugar Kings hockey club and a state of the art recreation facility.
